The Girraween Public School difference
A strong start
Our school welcomes all students from all backgrounds. We help every child feel safe, included and ready to learn from their very first day.
Growth in the classroom and beyond
We offer our students a wide range of subjects and opportunities. This empowers them to learn, develop skills, and discover their passions.
Support for every family
Our teachers and learning and wellbeing support teams work with our families. We co-design plans that help students learn in the way that works best for them.

ACARA recognition
We are proud to be recognised by ACARA as a school that is Making a Difference. This achievement reflects the dedication of our teachers, the hard work of our students and the ongoing support of our families. High expectations, explicit teaching and a strong sense of community are helping every child grow in literacy and numeracy.
Thank you to our school community for your partnership which is helping us create a place where students can thrive.
Building a better future!
Girraween Public School is part of the NSW Government’s rebuild project to support our growing community. This upgrade will deliver modern learning spaces, including a new three-storey building with 38 permanent classrooms and support rooms. We look forward to welcoming our students to these fantastic new facilities!
Celebrating Heritage and Language
At Girraween Public School, our Community Languages Program K–6 offers specialist-taught classes in Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, and Telugu during school hours, helping students maintain their heritage languages while celebrating cultural diversity and building a welcoming, inclusive school community.
